Coffee & books.
Happy Wednesday morning. The snow is melting and the temps are slightly climbing. Winter isn’t over yet but I can feel the light of spring just around the corner. There is a glimmer of hope that comes with warmer weather, the ground thawing to give way blooms. But this spring, I also have some nerves and fear too. We’re already two months into 2021 and I have no idea what the rest of the year holds. Wonderful things have come out of the last year, but orignal plans and goals have been tarnished and moved off into the distance. I know I’m not the only one this has happened to. The unknown has become a familiar feeling but that doesn’t make it any less tolerable.
Driving home on a Friday night, the setting sun shining brightly in our eyes. We’re slap happy, laughing hard about something silly. I have a slight headache and I’m tired but I tell myself it’ll all be okay. This is all I could ask for, all I can take. Living open-palmed enough to receive the beauty in front of me on the highway.
Scenes from my wintry walk. The snow glistened and sparked. I haven’t seen it like this in years.
What a gift it is that someone else’s existence can make your own life feel so much fuller. 🤍
