Last week I went out on my first dress shopping trip (something I’ve been excited about doing for years). I tried on five different styles of glittery, shimmering gowns, but somehow, the very first dress I tried on that was the one. I just knew. I’ve been told that this happens a lot, but it’s just magical to me how sometimes the perfect dress finds you. ✨

Today we had no plans and nothing pressing to do — the first day of its kind in a long while. So we drank tea, visited the bookshop, and started making our home cozy. While I browsed through the memoir and poetry section at the bookstore, Caleb thoughtfully examined how the bookshelves were made because he wants to make me some like them. Our tomatoes plants are growing. The smell of lasagna lingers in the air after dinner. The sun poked its head below the horizon as I watered the flowers. It was a good day.

Life is so full as we slowly make our little happy place.
