These are messy, bona fide words of a midwest millennial’s blog.
My name is Megan, I’m a storyteller and writer in Indianapolis, Indiana. I’ve loved writing since I could pick up a pen and scribble on paper. It was inevitable that when I grew up, went to college, and found a job, I stayed in a vocation that kept me close to stories and the keyboard (or pen and paper, which I prefer). I’ve learned to craft a narrative and turn words into the one thing that I think humans crave most, storytelling.
This blog is a compilation of personal projects, off-the-cuff blog posts, profiles that snapshot midwest living, and a portfolio of my bylines from local and regional publications. When I’m not working at my day job as a assistant editor, I balance this blog, freelance writing projects, and exploring my home state with the occasional trip to local coffee shops. I love to seek out and unearth stories about people in the midwest.
Like many people, I have a complicated relationship with technology and the internet. I’m not sure how I feel about adding my voice to the roar of blogging and the internet, but I have words to write and stories to tell, so here I am. Thanks for stopping by.
